158th Fighter Group ANG Burlington IAP, Vermont F-16C/D, C-26B 134th Fighter Squadron

The 134th FS is the group's operational unit and has flown the F-16C since 1994, with a C-26B support. The 134th Fighter Squadron was formed in August 1946 with P-47Ds, and F-51s from July 1960, with active duty performed between February 1951 and October 1952. The unit changed to a Fighter-Interceptor Squadron and converted to the F-94A/B in April 1954, followed by the F-89D in 1958. The 158th FIG was allocated in July 1960, with conversion to the F-102A in August 1965. In June 1974 the unit changed to a Defense Systems Evaluation Squadron, flying the EB-57B. F-4Ds were assigned in October 1981 with redesignation to a Tactical Fighter Squadron, before reverting to an FIS with the F-16A in July 1986.
